外浦の岬では年に一回、自然歩道を歩く「歩こう大会」が開催される。そのコースの一部分に作家は、戦時中に珠洲から外へ出て、帰って来た、 または帰って来ることができなかった人々の物語を展示する。1922年に西海村で生まれた南方寳作さんが生前に残した伝記を元に当時の人々がなぜ満洲へ渡ったのか、なぜ軍人に志願したのか、 どのような戦争だったのかを一人の人物の視点から追体験する形の作品を制作する予定。
A walking event is held once a year on the cape of the Sotoura outer harbor. The artist presents a story about leaving and returning to Suzu on part of the walking course. In pictures installed at multiple points along the path, he portrays settlers of the past who traveled from Suzu to Manchuria. Yumisashi plans to visit the bereaved families of the Manchurian settler communities to hear their stories and create work that questions what it means to move to a new place.

珠洲に住む人々から小さな興味深い物語を聞き取り、それを基に作家が下絵を描き、縫い手を担う人が生活の合間に裁縫仕事をして作品を作る 《物語るテーブルランナープロジェクト》。作家の鴻池朋子が2014年に始めたプロジェクトのバ トンを繋ぐ形で実施する。
The artist sketches anecdotes told by local residents. Based on these sketches, table runners are created by making use of sewing techniques practiced by the residents. Yumisashi is taking up the baton of the “Storytelling Table Runner” project, which was started by the artist Tomoko Konoike and has been featured at events such as ART SETOUCHI and the Reborn-Art Festival.

「自死」や「慰霊」をテーマに創作を続ける。名古屋学芸大学大学院修了後、学生時代の友人と名古屋で映像制作会社を起業。代表辞任後上京、ゲンロンカオス*ラウンジ新芸術校の第一期生として学んでいた2015年に、交通事故後で心身のバランスを崩していた母親が自死。出棺前に「金環を持った鳥のモチーフ」が浮かび、以後制作される多くの作品で繰り返し登場する彼の表現の核となっている。2021年より「満洲国」を軸に過去の戦争について考えるためのプロジェクトを開始。

Continue to create with the themes of "suicide" and "consolation". After graduating from Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, he started a video production company in Nagoya with his student friends. After resigning as a representative, he moved to Tokyo, and in 2015, when he was studying as the first student of Genron Chaos * Lounge New Art School, his mother, who had lost his physical and mental balance after a traffic accident, died on his own. A "bird motif with a ring" emerged before the casket, and it is the core of his expression that appears repeatedly in many subsequent works. From 2021, a project to think about past wars centered on "Manchuria" was started.
