The site is a former silkworm facility. The installation, composed of the space, continues to slowly and organically change over time. It is influenced by the original functions and features of the building, as well as factors such as the sounds of the surrounding environment and the weather. The building’s former tools and activities, and its disused items from daily life, are also a part of the work.

He creates installations inspired by the structure of buildings and the surrounding environment, and renders time as a phenomenon that can only be established on site in art museums, museums, alternative spaces and the outdoors. In terms of performances, he has presented tour works that invite the audience to unfamiliar places, stage works that focus on the function of the theater, and choral projects that do not have a central point.
Recent solo exhibitions and performances include "Tetsuya Umeda in Beppu 'Zero Tai'" (Beppu, 2020-2021), "On the Origin of Voices" (Fukuoka Art Museum, 2019-2020), "River Walk" (Kyoto Chuo Shinkin Bank, former welfare center, 2022) and "September 0 years old" (Takatsuki Gendai Gekijo, 2022).
