小さい忘れもの美術館

旧飯田駅は、のと鉄道能登線の廃線によって使われなくなり、往時の記憶も薄れている。作家は 忘れられることの意味を問い、のと鉄道の各駅か ら収集した「忘れ物」を展示した。ホームに停車 した貨物車は、内部が黒板になっており、来訪者 は「忘れたくない言葉」を書き残せる。忘れられ た駅は「忘れもの美術館」として再生された。
An abandoned railway, station, and platform. The artist asked what it means to be forgotten and filled the former Noto railroad Iida Station with forgotten items that one could find at any given station. Viewers are invited to write words for the future on a blackboard interior of a truck parked on the platform. The abandoned station came back to life as “The Museum of Forgotten Things.”
Tatsuo Kawaguchi（Japan）
1940年神戸生まれ。多摩美術大学卒業。
1960年代から国内外で作品展開する日本を代表する現代美術作家の一人。 「見えること」と「見えないこと」の「関係」を作品化。種子を鉛で覆う、蓮の花托を蜜蝋で包む、化石をフロッタージュするなど、封印することによって、観客の想像力をかき立て、観客の様々な意識（時間・空間の意識、美意識、死生観など）を呼び覚ます。筑波大学名誉教授、2014年から金沢美術工芸大学教授。

Born in Kobe in 1940. Graduated from Tama Art University.
One of Japan's leading contemporary artists who have worked in Japan and overseas since the 1960s. Created a “relationship” between “visible” and “invisible”. Covering seeds with lead, wrapping lotus buds with beeswax, frothing fossils, etc. to stir up the audience's imagination, and various consciousness of the audience (time and space awareness, aesthetics, view of life and death, etc.) I wake up. Professor Emeritus, University of Tsukuba, Professor since 2014, Kanazawa College of Art.
