Update on May 15, 2020
Until now, we have continued preparations to hold the “Oku-Noto Triennale 2020” as originally scheduled, from Saturday, September 5th to Sunday, October 25th, 2020. However, due to the spread of COVID-19 throughout the world and the uncertainty about when the pandemic will end, the decision was made to postpone the event. This decision was reached, among other reasons, because of the restrictions on participating artists’ travel and the difficulty in preparing their planned works.
The Triennale is now scheduled to be held for the 51 day period from Saturday, September 4th, to Sunday, October 24th, 2021. In short, we are proceeding with preparations to postpone the Oku-Noto Triennale for one year.
We apologize for the inconvenience we have caused to all those involved and looking forward to the event this autumn, and ask for your understanding on this decision.
