In view of the spread of COVID-19 worldwide, the session of "Oku-Noto Triennale 2020" has been postponed and will be restarted with a new name and new logo for the next autumn.

Instagram Project “Artists’ Breath” has been launched to deliver ongoing breaths of international artists participating in five Triennales directed by Fram Kitagawa. Various artists who have participated in Oku-Noto Triennale appears on this project. Please take a look.

Although preparations to hold the “Oku-Noto Triennale 2020” have continued until now, we have decided to postpone the event due to the COVID-19 spreading worldwide with no clear indication about when it will end.

The “Oku-Noto Triennale 2020 Open Call for Proposal”, which was closed on October 31 (Thursday), received 173 proposals from both inside and outside the country.Thank you very much for many applications.
