NOTO ABURI PROJECT
Noto Aburi Project (NAP) was launched as an outcome of one of the life-long education classes for community building producer which was organised by Morning University of Marunouchi in summer 2013. NAP highlights charm of Oku-Noto by featuring diatomite cooking stove (called "shichi-rin" in Japan) and hand-made charcoals(called "sumi" in japan), distinctive local products of Suzu-city as well as joy of aburi, charcoal-grilled cooking. NAP promotes special time and experience produced by aburi as it invites people to stay around the cooking stove as ingredients are slowly being cooked. Major activities include organising demonstration of aburi across Japan (2014), "Suzu Aburi Tour" collaborated with Suzu-city (2014), commercialising aburi kit (2014), and producing aburi kit as thanks token of furusato-tax contributors (2016) while promoting information relating to aburi through its official website.
